An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at this prestigious educational establishment. Our client is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the existing team in providing a high-quality café for students’, staff, and visitors to their campus.
Location: Sidcup
Hours: 11.00 am – 7.00 pm – 40-hour week (with ½ hour paid lunch)
Monday to Friday plus limited weekend work to cover events.
Job Purpose:
- To plan, execute and manage the production and delivery of internal/external catering requirements
- Working in collaboration with the morning Sous Chef, assisting in improving/developing the lunch menu
- Responsible for developing/delivering/costing an evening menu for students and be responsible for the implementation of in-house offerings such as sandwiches etc
- Maintain and grow current customer/student base
- Assist in other food outlets as required
- Support all catering team members
- To ensure all company food safety, allergen awareness, H&S and statutory policies are adhered and maintain
- Interact regularly with students, staff and visitors and to work with the current team to develop new ideas, concepts and food innovations to maximise sales.
