Sous Chef

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at this prestigious educational establishment.  Our client is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the existing team in providing a high-quality café for students’, staff, and visitors to their campus.

Location:  Sidcup

Hours:  11.00 am – 7.00 pm – 40-hour week (with ½ hour paid lunch)

Monday to Friday plus limited weekend work to cover events.

Job Purpose:

  • To plan, execute and manage the production and delivery of internal/external catering requirements
  • Working in collaboration with the morning Sous Chef, assisting in improving/developing the lunch menu
  • Responsible for developing/delivering/costing an evening menu for students and be responsible for the implementation of in-house offerings such as sandwiches etc
  • Maintain and grow current customer/student base
  • Assist in other food outlets as required
  • Support all catering team members
  • To ensure all company food safety, allergen awareness, H&S and statutory policies are adhered and maintain
  • Interact regularly with students, staff and visitors and to work with the current team to develop new ideas, concepts and food innovations to maximise sales.
