Warehouse & Logistics Associate

Our client located in Swanley, is recruiting for a Warehouse and Logistics Associate.

As the Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse and logistics activities. You will be responsible for managing courier deliveries and returns, coordinating emergency deliveries, and supporting the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in their absence.

You will also be a key person in ensuring health and safety measures are met, working in conjunction with their off-site H&S consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all standard warehouse duties, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory.
  • Serve as a relief driver for emergency deliveries, maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Support and step in for the Warehouse and Logistics Manager during their absence.
  • Manage courier deliveries and returns, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Coordinate and execute emergency deliveries, optimising routing and logistics.
  • Oversee and manage routing programs to ensure efficient delivery operations.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety measures, collaborating with our off-site H&S consultant to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Utilise technology and computer systems to streamline warehouse and logistics processes.
  • Maintain excellent communication with team members, customers, and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to perform delivery duties as needed.
  • Forklift licence is advantageous.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with computer systems and routing programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

Hours: 9am -5pm – Monday to Friday.
